Voices Unbroken: Healing Through Art-Play and Music for Afghan Refugee Children in Quetta

This initiative by the YAD in Quetta, Baluchistan unites three trauma-informed projects supporting Afghan refugee children through play, art, and music therapy. Operating in Pakistan’s most refugee-dense region, it has reached over 9,650 beneficiaries, creating school-based healing rooms and offering a scalable, community-rooted model for mental health and resilience.

Youth Association for Development

Founded in 2002 and based in Quetta, Baluchistan, YAD is a youth-led, rights-based organization promoting inclusive, community-driven development for marginalized groups—especially youth, women, and children—from refugee and host communities across Pakistan.
