Defenders of Planet Earth

Defenders of Planet Earth (DOPE) is a light entertainment climate series that showcases ordinary people doing extraordinary things. The series aims to shift perception, to foster a renewed connection with nature, strengthen climate consciousness and highlights that everyone has a role to play in climate solutions.

Designed to spark curiosity, shift mindsets, reframe climate action as accessible, relatable and drive climate solution, the series blends humour, music, hope and power of agency to inspires viewers to engage in informal learning, build climate understanding across key climate themes, and inspire widespread citizen participation in climate solutions.

Leveraging the series as a mobilizer, the programme will also drive wide-spread online and on the ground activations to engage the many towards informal climate education and enable people to recognise the power of their agency to drive climate solutions. DOPE sits at the intersection of pop culture and impact and is about, connection, empathy, belonging and community for our planet, where voices of citizens and climate consciousness leads the way.

Fingerprint Content is a story studio built for turbulent times. They make premium film and television that carries the big force shaping people’s lives- climate stress, inequality, migration, health, gender, and power – without preaching and without losing mainstream audiences. Working across the UK, US and India, developing a global slate with partners and talent including Barbara Kingsolver, Left Bank Pictures, and James Graham.
